“A great day out in the summer”

The Portishead Summer Show is a combination of a traditional flower and produce show and a country fair. It is a real community event which has been going since 1863.
You can now purchase tickets at a 20% discount of on the gate prices – Single Adult – £8.00 in advance (£10.00 on the gate) £12.00 weekend in advance (£15.00 on the gate). Children under 17 are Free.
In addition to the arena attractions and competition classes, the Summer Show also offers the opportunity to shop with 85 trade stands. Trade Stands are selling fast and we only have 2 stands left inside – all outside space sold. Please see the Trade option for more details and a full list of traders who have booked.
The 2024 Competition Schedule is now available and you can download a copy – see Competition Classes. You can also purchase a copy from Carey’s or Solelution in the High Street or Brackenwood Garden Centre and we hope to have these in other local shops shortly.
We have a fantastic entertainment programme lined up for the 2024 Show. On the Saturday Kevin’s Community Circus will be running circus skills workshops for children throughout the day. The Mini Pony Show will be at the Show on Saturday and Sunday with the delightful Rollo and Sprout. The fabulous Aldabra Giant Tortoises will be with us on Sunday and M & M Gundogs. There will be music from The Chicken Teddies, The Fab Twins a Beatles and 60’s tribute band and dance from the Stepping Stones School of Dance and Aspire School of Dance. In addition there will be Punch and Judy, Children’s Fun Sports kindly run by Portishead Guides and a Children’s Fancy Dress Competition on Saturday which F H Hallidays are sponsoring. There will also be the opportunity to have a go in the link marquee on a potters wheel or spinning wheel and the Church will be hosting some children’s activities.
